I have a software conflict issue in my OS (Windows 10 x64). More precisely, an old version of Microsoft Visual C++ (x64) cannot be uninstalled properly, and so the new version (download-able from ) cannot be installed. And because of this Visual Studio doesn’t install properly either- I get a warning at the end, and then it can’t open some SLN projects. I tried everything, I uninstalled every instance of Visual C++ / CPP, inluding by using the MS uninstaller tool and deleting instances of VIsual C++ in the registry (particularly in the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREClassesInstallerProducts ) I uninstalled and reinstalled Visual Studio; but nothing worked… I run all installers as Administrator.
