The rated RPM speed is 1400 Rpm. The output of the transmission is required to be 1/3 of the input RPM. You are required to design a transmission consisting of Spur gear 1 step speed reduction, the gears are locked using a squared keys in a stepped shaft system. The shafts are supported by two single row deep groove ball bearings. The lubrication is needed for the gearing system. The transmission will be working in moderate shock load.
